I loved it! I really liked how mysterious the Marlfoxes were, especially Mokkan, so you always had to guess what they were doing and why. Some parts of this were a little bit scary, but not really. At first, the White Ghost frightened me, but then when I found out that it was Lantur's trick, I was fine with it. What was interesting and really good about this book was that someone could be on someone's side, and then they turn on them. I thought the Marlfoxes were very sneaky and crafty, making them very interesting. They were sly like the other foxes in the other Redwall books, but better! Of the Marlfoxes, Mokkan, Lantur, Gelltor, and Vannan were probably my favorites.
The heroes were really great too. I really liked Songbreeze Swifteye, Dannflor Reguba, Dippler the Guosim Shrew, Janglur Swifteye, Cregga Rose Eyes, who I'm glad was back from The Long Patrol, Rusvul Reguba, and Florian Dugglewoof Wilffachop, who was really funny.
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A REALLY GOOD REDWALL BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
