The Redwall Cookbook is great! The illustrations are so cute! The recipes sound good to and they arn't to complicated. There is a lot of cutting in butter into flour in many of the recipes. Not many recipes get the "Child/Dibbun friendly" mark but instead have the "Adult Supervision Required" mark. Some of the recipes may be more complicated for small children, especially the Veggible Molebake, which requires making a Bechemel sauce. There is a story for each season, usually revolving around some time of feast. The same familiar characters are in all the stories, including Basil, Matthias, Ambrose, Cornflower, and Friar Hugo. There are also some new characters as well. Overall it is a wonderful book for children.
