It seems that I've had the privelege of reading several fine books recently, and this is one of them. This is actually the first Redwall book I've ever read, but I liked it just the same as if I had read all of them. Right now I'm waiting for my copies of Redwall and Martin the Warrior to come in from Amazon.com and I look very forward to reading them. I loved the wit included as well and I love how funny the book is at times and how it fits right in with the seriousness. Also, the way Gulo was killed was something I wasn't expecting (I won't reveal how he died so anybody who hasn't finished the book yet won't see and have me spoil the book) The only thing that I was dissapointed in was how when I finished the book I just had an empty feeling inside because I wasn't reading it anymore. I always get that feeling in me when I finish a book where I get attached to the characters, which is a good thing and a bad thing, I suppose. Reguardless, it was a simply outstanding book, can't wait to read the others.
